In compliance with CDC recommendations & Pima county Ready For You program for social distancing, our seating capacity is very limited. Please call for a reservation & detail (Cancellation policy applies).
We strongly encourage you to continue to use our curbside* pick-up. Please pull into the parking lot next door and call us with your car make and color. One of us will bring your food to you.

The Chef
Dee Buizer, Chef and Owner of Senae Thai Bistro is pleased to bring over 30 years of experience as a very successful restaurateur to downtown Tucson.
Since opening her first restaurant in 1987, Sweet Basil in Berkeley & Los Gatos, California, she and her siblings have owned and operated 9 restaurant locations in California: (Soi Four and Bird & Buffalo in Oakland, and Basil Thai and Basil Canteen in San Francisco), Sweet Basil in Bethesda, Maryland, Soi Four in Scottsdale, and now Senae Thai Bistro in Tucson, Arizona.
Senae Thai Bistro offers exquisite, traditional Thai cuisine that is beautifully presented, and exceptionally served. Our carefully chosen wine, beer and cocktail selections are perfect complements to her dishes.
The Restaurant
Beautifully transformed, this historic site was built in 1946 as the home of the McLellan five-and-dime store.
Senae features a state-of-the-art kitchen and a dining area that is decorated with natural wood, a “living wall,” and an upstairs mezzanine that seats up to 16 guests in a private setting.
Environmental Sustainability
Influenced by her husband Jim, an Interim Director of the Arizona Institutes for Resilient Environment and Societies at the University of Arizona, Chef Dee is dedicated to sustainability. She locally sources her restaurant and supports locally owned businesses to the extent possible. She has forged a partnership with the University of Arizona Community and School Garden Program to grow many of the herbs and vegetables you will find in her cuisine. She has also incorporated numerous energy and water conservation, and waste-reduction measures in her design and operations.
We invite you to enjoy your experience at Senae Thai Bistro, and encourage you to give us your feedback either directly, or through your favorite social media. We also encourage you to engage with us via Facebook, Yelp, Instagram and Twitter.
